Chosen each one for the sake
Of complimenting him adjacent,
A subtle blend of pinks and reds,
But no scent.
Rising over roses heads,
Lilies trumpets cream-white, perfect,
Dusted lightly with dried mustard,
The anthers on each filament
Glow their crude advertisement:
