How They Sent The Good News From Ghent to Gaza

No need for a horsey, no handsome black steed,

The news can now travel at internet speed.

And so, I sit down and right there at my screen,

I signal the virtuous clap trap agreed,

With my colleagues so brave and so willing to dare,

I tell the Israelis the projects we share,

Are no longer a thing as we think they are mean.

We don’t give a toss for the research you see,

We just love the Gazans who wish to be free.

And then we tell Gaza, we drop them a line,

We won’t know if it gets there, but now they’ll be fine,

For we will not work with the nasty old Jews,

And all will be better and that’s the good news.
